Editor/Author Biographies
Dipak Laha is a reader in the department of mechanical engineering at Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India. He received a BE in mechanical engineering from Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur, an MTech in industrial management from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and a PhD in industrial engineering from Jadavpur University. His teaching and research are in the areas of operations research, production planning and control, computer integrated manufacturing, evolutionary optimization, heuristics, operations management, and artificial intelligence.
Purnendu Mandal is professor and chair of the information systems and analysis department, Lamar University. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of database management systems, e-commerce, strategic management information systems, management information systems, and system dynamics. His research papers have appeared in European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Management Decision, International Journal of Operations & Production Management, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, Logistics Information Management, Intelligent Automation and Soft Computing: An International Journal, International Journal of Technology Management, ASCE Journal of Management in Engineering, Decision, Applied Mathematical Modeling.
