In engineering, there are often situations in which the material of the main component is unable to sustain long life or protect itself from adverse operating environments. Moreover, in some cases, different material properties such as anti-friction and wear, anti-corrosive, thermal resistive, super hydrophobic, etc. are required as per the operating conditions.
